Live-in Services

With the help of live-in carers, people with disorders as diverse as Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, or spinal injuries can maintain their freedom and be safe. For persons with dementia who struggle with change and get confused or afraid in a new situation, such as residential care, live-in care help is a viable alternative. Living at home and having a routine provide comfort to someone with dementia.

What is live in care?

Live-in care provides continual, round-the-clock care from a committed carer who lives with you in your home and is there to lend a helping hand at any time.

We realise how being supported by or caring for a loved one with care requirements may be stressful. As a result, our live-in care is tailored to your specific needs, routines, and preferences. With Helping Hands’ live-in care, you and your loved ones can focus on what matters most: spending quality time together.

Live-in care allows you to have one of our caring, expertly-trained carers live with you in your own home, helping you at all hours of the day and night. Your live-in carer will not only be able to provide you with practical and physical care, but they will also be a fantastic source of company and emotional support. All of our live-in carers are handpicked for their kind, compassionate personalities, and your local care manager will match you with someone who shares your interests and hobbies.

Are live in care and 24-hour care the same?

If you require advanced care, 24-hour care provides live-in help around the clock.

When you receive 24-hour care, you will typically have one primary live-in carer who stays with you full-time and other carers who may assist you overnight or during the day when your primary carer is taking a break or needs assistance with movement and handling chores.

You can also choose live-in care if you require frequent support for some conditions but do not require continual care. There could be a number of reasons why someone requires 24-hour care.
